Are LLMs good at multi-label classification?

Abstract:
In machine learning, multi-label classification is a challenging task. It involves assigning multiple labels to an instance, which is a common requirement in many real-world scenarios. One such application is the classification of research papers into multiple categories based on their content. This exploratory project discusses the use of LLMs for this task, with a specific focus using the Mistral LLM.
